Confidence? Or over-confidence?

See you... Monday! (!!!)

Madok doesn't see it coming - or maybe he does and you are just doing this to intensify the action.
Great page.

7th Mar 2014, 12:08 AM

He totally does.

Even if he doesn't, then he has a fairly good idea anyway. You can tell he's not going in unprepared. Not only from a plot-perspective, but from a character perspective; knowing everything I do about Madoc and seeing his face like that, it's pretty dang obvious that even if he doesn't explicitly know, he knows well enough to be ready.

7th Mar 2014, 9:07 PM

Now that I think about it, you are actually right. The first panel on the last row shows Locke's dark power slithering towards Madoc, and then Madoc smiles like a boss.

7th Mar 2014, 10:58 PM

Hunting and killing targets is Madoc's livelihood. He may never have been in a situation like this, but I'm sure he's dealt with mages before.

It wouldn't be much of a story if everything was that simple though, so we'll have to see where it goes!

9th Mar 2014, 10:46 PM

I love these colorsss <3

Someone had better knock some sense into Locke before he does something he'll regret later 0-0

7th Mar 2014, 12:24 AM

That's kinda what Madoc's there to do.
The challenge is in making him knock sense into Locke without knocking Locke's head off. :P

7th Mar 2014, 9:08 PM

Thanksss! :D

Regret? You mean like murdering three people and almost successfully attacking a poor little orphan girl? D8

9th Mar 2014, 10:17 PM

Holy sheep shit this is getting good! What a clash of titans!

What does it take to get Madoc to use that giant sword of his? Will this situation finally call for it?

And oh crap! His feet have been rooted! What incredibly crafty technique will he use to escape that!
(what if he just jumped out of his boots...lol)

Gulp. I'm excited!

7th Mar 2014, 4:02 AM

Oh, I wonder if Madoc's weapons have anti-magic qualities....

7th Mar 2014, 4:13 AM

You know, that big sword of his just might make an appearance! But only if Madoc thinks Locke is worthy of it.

Hahaha, jumping out of his boots. So crafty, yet so simple... I think the tendril-thingies are probably too tight for him to slip off his boots, unfortunately.

Some of Madoc's weapons/tools are special, some are not. We'll see!

9th Mar 2014, 10:20 PM

I predict they'll both need a bath after this fight!

7th Mar 2014, 5:04 AM

That is the most accurate prediction I have heard so far, hahaha~

9th Mar 2014, 10:20 PM

I'm not even sure who I'm pulling for in this fight. O_O I guess I just hope neither of them gets turned into salsa?

7th Mar 2014, 8:43 AM

Yep, that's my hope, too.

7th Mar 2014, 9:09 PM

Mmm, salsa~

9th Mar 2014, 10:20 PM

First panel steals my heart! <3

I love Locke, but I'm going with Madoc on this one!

7th Mar 2014, 9:07 AM

Aw Madoc, stealing (and probably eventually breaking) hearts, you rascal. D:

9th Mar 2014, 10:22 PM

Madoc must deal with evil, glowie-eyed, blood splattered, soul sucking people surrounded by tentacles of evil darkness magic a lot; he's still got his self-assured slightly cocky smirk on.

7th Mar 2014, 6:02 PM

Madoc's been through some tough battles involving magic before... Probably nothing quite like this though.

9th Mar 2014, 10:25 PM

Now I'm even happier that I don't have to wait until Friday for another page, this is going to be brilliant.

7th Mar 2014, 7:40 PM

Yes! I can't to tell the story faster. :D

9th Mar 2014, 10:25 PM

I'd say it's a little bit of both.

He's confident, and my bet is on him not being unjustifiably so--he's likely going to get out of the trap that killed those others.

However, I'm also betting that evil!Locke has more than one single trick, and thus, Madoc's in for a tougher fight than he's anticipating.

7th Mar 2014, 9:06 PM

evil!Locke definitely has more than one trick up his sleeve. But then again, Madoc has a few tricks himself.

I'm looking forward to showing them! c:

9th Mar 2014, 10:31 PM

So.. am I the odd man out that I kinda wouldn't mind this being the end of Madoc? Totally not what's going to happen. But I wouldn't exactly shed a tear, ya know?

8th Mar 2014, 4:30 PM

That is a totally valid opinion! Madoc hasn't exactly shown any redeemable qualities, and he's trying to kill our protagonist. (Our presently chaotic protagonist, but none the less.)

But dangit, that cocky little smirking mercenary just seems to be stabbing his way into the hearts of people...both literally and figuratively.

9th Mar 2014, 10:35 PM

Good page. :) I'll look forward to Monday.

8th Mar 2014, 7:38 PM

Thanks very much!

Soooon, soooooon.
